This post is part of a series focused on breaking down the language we use in order to help us build the life we want. Our will to live can be seen in the stories and entertainment we consume. We are fascinated by underdog stories, enjoy feel good stories with happy endings, and most of all we love the idea of keeping hope alive.

When that occurs, I challenge you: Be that hope you search for. Lead by example. Even when it seems like there is no positivity around you — YOU are the positivity. There is greatness in you. The environment is not representative of you. While it may create limitations, it does not control the actions you take therein. You have a choice.

Be Courageous
Just as with falling dominoes, if one is out of line, the trail will break. If you are surrounded with negativity, choose to step out of line. Choose positivity and laugh in the face of both sadness and fury for neither can harm you once you choose to embrace your truth. It is not misguided to hope for that which you can’t guarantee is possible — it is courageous.
