Intuitive Living: The Power of Intuition

Intuition is your inner voice and that place of knowledge without reason that we all have access to. It is the bridge between the conscious and the unconscious and ties together what you know and what you feel to be true. Intuition, when cultivated, holds a strong power that can help you maximize your life.

This post is part of a series on Intuition. Check out the other series’ posts here.

What is Intuition?

Have you ever known something to be true even though you had no proof of it? Intuition is that instinct, hunch, or inner voice that tells you truths that isn’t supported by proof.

Our society holds analysis and conscious reasoning in higher esteem than trusting what can’t be proven tangibly, and so the true power of intuition is missed by many. There is nothing wrong with trusting your inner voice, and the more we accept it in ourselves we will be able to accept it in others. It is possible to be logical and still trust intuition.

There are historical figures known for their scientific contributions to the world that also believed in the power of intuition, including Albert Einstein, Nicola Tesla, and Steve Jobs. As said in their own words, here is an outlook on intuition:

Albert Einstein
I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.

Nicola Tesla
But instinct is something which transcends knowledge. We have, undoubtedly, certain finer fibers that enable us to perceive truths when logical deduction, or any other willful effort of the brain, is futile.

My brain is only a receiver, in the universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration.

Steve Jobs
Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

How Does Intuition Help Me?

When you utilize the power of intuition, it will impact your life in multiple positive ways, including:

Empowerment

It encourages you to accomplish your goals and intentions, and helps you to better trust in yourself. It is your security in the unknown and your ever present guide in all aspects of your life.

Clarity

The busyness of life can complicate the path ahead of you, but intuition provides insight into the best direction to move in. It helps to sift through all of the information you are receiving consciously and unconsciously in order to make the best decision.

Tolerance

Let go of the limits and boundaries of tangible evidence and proof. Just because something has yet to be proven does not mean it does not exist. There are new discoveries made every day of things that have been in existence for some time. Intuition assists you in having a greater understanding of the world and in accepting truths that have yet to be scientifically proven.

Happier Life

It also helps you create a happier and more peaceful life that is more focused on your Self. It helps you to listen to yourself and your surroundings in more ways than can be picked up by your senses, and allows you to live more fully than you would otherwise.
